Earlier this year, I brought my True Faith EP to the now defunct Takeki Tower label. This expanded release featured exclusive new cover art (some of my finest work), a new bonus track, and all-new masters of the original True Faith tracks; making this the definitive version of the most uplifting, club inspired UO release yet. For the 1 year anniversary of the original True Faith release, I’ve brought the deluxe EP home to my Bandcamp.
True Faith is closely rooted in 90’s and early 00’s Dance, Rave, Eurobeat, etc., Unlimited Oceans aims to capture that spirit, while still grounding it in the deep and hi-fi ethereality that UO has come to be known for. As the title may suggest, True Faith alludes to the “religious experience” side of this type of music; the emotional, euphoric, otherworldly, transcendental nature of it. As the extended play goes on, the tempo continually rises, always ascending, reaching ever higher, climaxing with all-new bonus track, “Hyper-Real”.
I’m happy to share this release once again and celebrate 1 year of True Faith. As you may recall, I released True Faith at a time where I really needed that energy and positivity in my life. Dealing with music that is so upbeat and euphoric can be a great catharsis when you’re struggling, which I was at the time. Thankfully, I’m doing better these days, but it’s been a long road. You can still pick up the True Faith tape from Takeki Tower, I believe there just won’t be anything new coming from the label. As always, thank you for listening and I’ll hopefully see you soon with something new, who knows.
