Amore Mio Dolce, the lavish and languid slice of Disco-tinged library music that I released back in May, has been expanded into an extended play. I had such a good time with Amore Mio Dolce, I wasn’t quite ready to leave it behind. It was a lot of fun working in the context of that sonic world; this vaguely Mediterranean inspired Lounge, Funk, Disco sound. It’s sort of unique in terms of what I’ve done historically, while still playing around in a ballpark of stuff I really like and have liked for a very long time. This new deluxe package features new mixes of prior songs “Amore Mio Dolce” and “Amarsi Un Po ’25”, an all-new song (“Assoluto Oceano”), and a guitar-centric “Guitarra” mix of Amore Mio Dolce.

New song, “Assoluto Oceano”, if I can highlight that real quick; it was a lot of fun to make. Not a lot of melodic heavy lifting on my end, it hinges almost entirely on being a guitar-driven Disco soundscape. As with Amore Mio Dolce and Amarsi Un Po ’25 before it, it’s a very aquatic, dreamy, luxurious tune. The muted guitar, the galloping hats, the woozy Dream Pop lead, with that Rhodes foundation? It’s gorgeous, really happy with it, it’s a great addition to the Amore Mio Dolce package. Assoluto is similar enough to work but different enough to keep you engaged and present you something distinct from Amore and Amarsi. There’s still that through-line of soundtracks and library music, it’s definitely a scene-setter. I’ve got another tune coming out soon, a B-Side on my release I’m doing with Eclectics, it may seem similar as I recycled the chords for it (don’t worry, they’re completely different songs).

To coincide with this deluxe reissue of Amore Mio Dolce too, I’m happy to say, is the first ever print under Faint Waves’ own Ocean Editions banner. This lovely 12×18 print features a beautiful adaption of the cover art, printed professionally on heavy duty somerset velvet fine art paper. I originally had one produced as a test print and to have for my personal collection, but it turned out so beautifully, I figured I’d make it the first official “Ocean Edition”. Available on my Bandcamp page or if that’s too far for you, just head over to the prints section of this site.

Amore Mio Dolce: Di Lusso Edition is available on Bandcamp now. On Spotify, Apple Music, and everywhere else music is streamed and sold by 8/8.
