FAINT WAVES

The seventh in a long line of new releases commemorating 10 years of Faint Waves music.

I thought to myself, what if there was another version of Paradise entirely, an alternate Paradise? The extended play, re-imagined, reconfigured. That’s how PARADISO was born.

I used my “Hacienda Mix” of lead single, Technique, as a starting point and worked backward from there. That alternate mix is the blueprint for this alternate version of Paradise.

Where Paradise was much more New Wave and Dream Pop inspired, with its faux guitars and heavy percussion, Paradiso tugs on different strings. Paradiso is the mellower counter-part, bringing the New Age, Chillout, and House influences to the fore. It’s a pure mood, intangible, fleeting, but you know it when you hear it, when you feel it.

If paradise lies eternally within the person who dreams of it, this must be the dream in and of itself.
