Technique, out now on Bandcamp.

The fifth in a long line of new releases commemorating 10 years of Faint Waves music, this is a promotional A-Side/B-Side single for “Technique”. Technique is taken from the forthcoming Faint Waves extended play, Paradise.

Inspired by the New Order album of the same name, Technique as a song (while musically disparate) follows a similarly experimental ethos; the song is not quite New Wave, not quite House, not quite Chillwave, instead landing somewhere dead center. The standard EP version of “Technique” is accompanied by the Haçienda mix, an acid-tinged lounge version informed by the “Hot” Ibiza night at the titular club.

This single was a fun one to produce, it isn’t often that I get to touch on so many of my influences in one release.
