The fourth in a long line of new releases commemorating 10 years of Faint Waves music. This time, I present to you an A-Side/B-Side style single, featuring two cuts of pristine and dreamy lounge music.
Drawing on long time inspirations such as Ennio Morricone, Arthur Lyman, Les Baxter, and Art Of Noise/Anne Dudley; I weave a world of hypnotic new exotica. Mellow guitars flow like water over organic percussion, as heartfelt, lonesome whistles croon in the background. Meanwhile, nature ambiences and gentle synth pads support but never overwhelm the instruments up front. It’s simply music for and inspired by a different time.
I’ve been sitting on these two songs, in one shape or another, for almost two years now. “The Sunset Fades” was written and recorded, ostensibly finished (just not mastered), about a year ago. I even sampled/interpolated it for a different song, “On The Coast” off last year’s CAMERON extended play. “Breeze On The Sea” on the other hand was the first demo I made in late 2022 for One True World, a full length album that still has yet to come out (or completely materialize, I’ll get to it one day soon hopefully). Either way, glad to finally have these two songs out.
You’ll find The Sunset Fades here or you can just click the embed above. Name your price, as every release this year has been. Enjoy. Keep an eye out for more music very soon too, as we’re at the height of Faint Waves season. Until then, take care.

The Sunset Fades is also available on Spotify and all other major music platforms.
